KCD2 Minimap - companion plugin (MANUAL install)
================================================

Do NOT install this with a mod manager - it won't put it in the right place. Copy the
file by hand into the game's Bin\Win64MasterMaster<platform>PGO\ folder:

  Steam: <game>\Bin\Win64MasterMasterSteamPGO\
  GOG: <game>\Bin\Win64MasterMasterGogPGO\
  Epic: <game>\Bin\Win64MasterMasterEpicPGO\

Use the one that exists in your Bin. That's the same folder as dinput8.dll (the Ultimate
ASI Loader). You need that loader for this to work - if you already run kcd2db or another
dinput8 ASI mod you have it; otherwise install it first. (If dinput8.dll doesn't load it,
some setups need a differently-named loader such as winmn.dll - use exactly one.)

Made for the STEAM game version 1.5.6 - the plugin reads the game at fixed addresses, so a
game update (or a different GOG/Epic build) can stop the live markers and F6 working until
it's rebuilt for that build. The log's "offset check" line tells you if it matched.

Load a save: you get live quest/POI markers, and F6 opens the settings panel. Settings are
saved to kcd2minimap.cfg in this folder (no kcd2db needed) - you can also edit that file by hand.

Changing the F6 key
-------------------
If F6 clashes with another mod (some lighting mods use it), make a text file next to the
.asi called kcd2minimap_uikey.txt with one key in it, e.g.

  F7 (any F-key F1-F12)
  K (a single letter)

Save it and restart the game. To change the map-open key the same way, use
kcd2minimap_mapkey.txt with a single letter.

Nothing happens on F6?
----------------------
Check for kcd2minimap_asi.log in that Bin folder. No log = the loader didn't pick up the
.asi (wrong folder, or no dinput8.dll loader). If the log exists and shows "panel key
pressed" when you tap F6, the plugin is working.
